After a few weeks of running around on the Laufenns LK01, I am impressed. I was very hesitant to go to a product that seemed too cheap, like most people I associate price with value. BUT for At $550 for the full set delivered and balanceda nd aligned at my local garage (using one of hypers associative fitters) I decided to take the punt as these fitted sat around 50% of the total cost of all of my previous sets.
I have had a decent history of running Brisdgestone My01's, Adrenallin RE002's + RE003, and have just finished up on my Falken ZX914's so I have had a lot to compare against and some of these sets cost $230 per tyre at the time of purchase.
I am running these on a Toyota Caldina GT Four, it is 4WD, so I can't offer any wet weather RWD comparisons in terms of how they handle in the wet.
So far I am very impressed with this tyre from a value vs performance standpoint.
* The road noise is good
* The handling is good
* It has stopped on a couple of occassions but wet and dry under quick breaking
* They are assymetrical with decent water channels and Inner Edge Tread Blocks.
I can tell ZERO different on my Caldina from my Falkens which at present are $185.
Super stoked with my purchase and would definately recommend this tyre to anyone that wants decent performance for an amazing price.
Thanks Hyper for the having by far the easier website and service to use in NZ. You prices, service, advice and isntallation setup using local installers is second to none.
