NZ’S BEST 4X4 & SUV TYRE DEALS.

Why Hyper Drive

Fit the tyre to the real job.

A capable-looking tread is not automatically the right one. Connect the vehicle, normal terrain, load, road mix and final live result before selecting fitting.

Terrain aware.
Fitment first.

Start with the actual vehicle and tyre placard. Then compare H/T, A/T, M/T, touring or light-truck options against load, towing, daily road use and the surfaces you actually drive.

01

Exact vehicle

Use the real vehicle rather than a broad 4x4 or SUV assumption.

02

Load check

Consider passengers, tools, canopies, accessories, trailers and real use.

03

Terrain choice

Choose a tread direction for normal kilometres, not appearance alone.

04

Live result

Confirm placard, wheel fitment, rating and current product availability.

Helpful answers

4x4 & SUV tyre questions answered.

The vehicle placard, actual wheel fitment, load index, speed rating and final live result remain the important checks for the exact vehicle.

What are 4x4 tyres?

4x4 tyres cover different tread patterns, construction and load directions for sealed roads, gravel, towing, worksite access and off-road use. The correct choice starts with the actual vehicle and real driving mix.

Are all-terrain tyres better than mud-terrain tyres?

Not necessarily. All-terrain tyres can provide a balanced mix for road, gravel and touring use. Mud-terrain tyres can suit more demanding off-road conditions but often involve road-noise and refinement trade-offs.

Can I fit larger tyres to my 4x4?

Size changes can affect clearance, wheel fitment, speedometer accuracy, braking, gearing and other requirements. Check the vehicle, placard and appropriate professional fitment advice before purchasing.

Do 4x4 tyres need a higher load index?

Load index must suit the vehicle as used. Tools, canopies, passengers, tow gear, trailers and touring accessories can all change what the tyres need to carry.

What tyre pressure should I run in 4x4 tyres?

Use the vehicle guidance as the normal on-road starting point. If terrain-specific adjustment is appropriate, reinflate before returning to public-road speeds and seek appropriate advice for the vehicle and conditions.

Can Hyper Drive fit 4x4 tyres near me?

Choose the correct tyre first, then check fitting options for the order and location. Mobile-fitting eligibility and appointment availability vary for selected Auckland bookings.
