This thing sticks out way further than it needs to! On our van it could go into the receiver a further 7 cm, which might not sound like much but when you add a rack to this. It sticks out a long way.
I need to add some shims to the side of the receiver to make it sit level, as it flops down a centimetre or so at the pivot end. The receiver for the rack is closed at the end, so the rack can not be inserted as far as it would if not using the Backswing.
With a rack on and pivoted away. We can easily open both doors on our Fiat Ducato van.
Probably the best option available at the moment, however it could be improved IMHO
