I spend most of time on tarmac, but I also tow, carry and spend a lot of time in 4X4 on gravel roads and various terrain. I needed a tyre to handle it all, and the Toyos are a fantastic upgrade over the stock highway-biased ATs that came with my Hilux when I purchased it new in 2024. I went with the LT 265/65r17, which are significantly bigger than the same size they replaced. For a tyre with more grip and durability compared to stock, the Toyos are surprisingly just as quiet, with little to no change in fuel consumption. I had the Falken Wildpeak AT3W LT on my previous Hilux, and although they were fantastic tyres, I found them rigid and uncomfortable with slight understeer. The Toyos are far better, and much nicer looking.
